Envest has acquired a majority stake in Wymark Specialty, adding to its growing portfolio of brokers in the Aviso Group network.
Aviso Group is a national partnership of client focused insurance brokers founded by Envest and six private insurance brokers. Wymark will be the 12th business to join the Group which now combines 20 offices nationally, more than 220 employees, 17 principals and $375m in Gross Written Premium (GWP).
Aviso Group CEO Craig Robson said Wymark Specialty had been in business for over 30 years, building strong and trusting relationships across a range of industries, with offices on Gold Coast, Melbourne, Newcastle, and Wollongong.
“Wymark is a natural fit for our growing network and likewise, Aviso Group offers the business opportunities to mature and continue to provide the highest level of customer advice and service standards on an Australia wide basis.
“Wymark has a fantastic reputation as a general insurance broker and has for many years provided niche products and schemes for various industries that will contribute to the broader Group.”
Wymark has been led by Phil Sholl and Craig Wardle, who will continue to play a leading role in the business going forward, as well as with-in the broader Envest business in the future.

Envest acquired a majority share in the business on 1 July 2021, giving the business automatic entry into the exclusive Aviso Group (owned and managed by Envest).
